Health and Fitness Data Notice

1. What stays on the device

1.1. Heart rate, heart-rate zones, weight, sex and birth date (age), and the calories calculated from them, are processed only on the user’s device: the app does not send them to VOON servers, and the Controller neither receives nor stores them.

1.2. Distance, duration, speed, pace, elevation, power, cadence, steps and other workout information describe the workout itself, not the user’s health. VOON provides no diagnosis and draws no medical conclusions.

2.2. Connected Bluetooth heart-rate, power, speed and cadence sensors.

2.3. GPX/FIT files imported by the user.

2.4. Apple Health/HealthKit only after OS permission.

3. HealthKit and VOON servers

3.1. Workouts, routes and metrics imported from Apple Health are processed on-device and not uploaded to VOON servers. The exception is a route the user chooses to publish in the feed: only the route itself is then sent to the server — the line, distance, elevation gain and loss, duration and what the user adds to the post (title, description, photos). This is information about a route, not about health: heart rate, calories and other workout metrics are not sent when publishing. Publication is governed by the Route Publication Consent. With permission, VOON may write a VOON-created workout and metrics to Apple Health.

3.2. An activity recorded by VOON or imported by the user from GPX/FIT may sync to VOON servers. Before transfer, VOON removes all heart-rate values, heart-rate zones and calories; weight, sex and birth date are never part of the server copy. Calories stay only on the device where they were calculated: activities moved to a new device arrive without them. If Apple Health on the new device holds the workout VOON wrote for that activity, or the same workout from another app, VOON may show the calories from there — on the device only, and only while Apple Health is connected.

3.3. Apple Health permissions can be changed in iOS. Apple does not provide categories for which permission was not granted.

4. Purposes

4.1. Activity recording; sports-statistics calculation/display; history and sync; export; restoration; and training-zone features when enabled. No advertising, sale, data brokering, insurance, credit, employment or medical decision-making.

5. Legal basis and choice

5.1. Users decide whether to connect Apple Health and sensors. Access is granted through separate iOS permissions and can be revoked in device settings. Features that do not need these sources remain available without them.

5.2. Because the Controller neither receives nor stores heart rate, heart-rate zones, weight or calories, it does not process health data falling within the special categories of personal data. Workout metrics on the server are processed under the Terms and the personal data consent and are not used to draw conclusions about the user’s health.

6. Disclosure and publication

6.1. Server metrics are available only to VOON and infrastructure processors as needed. We do not sell them or disclose them to ad networks. Heart rate, heart-rate zones, weight, sex, birth date and calories are neither sent to VOON servers nor published in the feed. Any future transfer or publication would begin only after a separate, clear choice by the user and new consent in the form required by applicable law.

7. Retention, security and deletion

7.1. Heart rate, heart-rate zones, weight, sex, birth date and calories remain only on the user’s device — in the VOON app and/or Apple Health — and are deleted through the app or iOS. The Controller does not store them. The server activity copy, which excludes them, stays until activity/account deletion, subject to backups, law and disputes. Privacy Policy security measures apply.

8. Requests

8.1. Users may request information about their data, a copy, correction or deletion, or withdraw consent, by writing to voonapp@mail.ru. We will reply within the period set by applicable law.

9. Changes

9.1. Before expanding purposes, categories, recipients or publication, VOON will update this Notice and seek renewed consent where required.
